Brewing beer for the Salzburg community since 1621, Augustiner Bräustubl is heaven on earth for a beer lover. Inside, there are 8 beautifully authentic beer halls. Each features unique design characteristics including stone floors, wood panelled walls, timber tables and chairs and soaring ornate ceilings. Outside, you can take a seat under the shady chestnut trees in Austria’s largest beer garden. The delicious beer on offer is brewed to the original 1621 recipe and is served in unique stone jugs, poured from wooden barrels. On site there is also a delicatessen arcade where a range of tasty Austrian specialties are served including bread, cheese, sausages and hearty meat dishes. A lovely 15 minute stroll along the river from the heart of the Old Town, Augustiner Bräustubl is a not to be missed destination for anyone visiting Salzburg!
Die Weisse

Die Weisse is the pub of Austria’s oldest wheat beer brewery, Salzburg Weissbierbrauerei. Located in the New Town, Die Weisse serves up excellent beer in characterful surrounds. Inside, there are a range of drinking and eating spaces, from cosy traditional rooms with parquet floors and wood panelled walls, to contemporary spaces with industrial style brick walls and high benches. Outside there is a lovely beer garden with shady chestnut trees, the perfect spot to while away a couple of hours on a sunny summer afternoon. Try the outstanding house beer, “Die Weisse Hell”, which is still brewed to the original 1901 recipe.
Enoteca Settemila a.C.

Down a quiet, cobblestoned lane just across the river from the Old Town you’ll find the delightful wine shop and bar Enoteca Settemila. Here they specialise in organic, natural wines from Austria and throughout Europe and offer an extensive range of wines by the glass to tempt you. Have a chat to one of the friendly and enthusiastic staff members and they will introduce you to some excellent wines. The bar also offers delicious charcuterie boards to nibble on while you savour your wine. The bar has a lovely atmosphere and it’s a delight to sit at one of the high tables, surrounded by wine bottles and relax with a glass of wine after a busy day of sightseeing.
