Ameron Luzern Hotel Flora

Perfectly located in the city centre, just five minutes walk from the train station and the Chapel Bridge, the Ameron Hotel is the perfect base for your time in Lucerne. Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable and feature a complimentary minibar, espresso machine and block out blinds. Staff are polite and helpful and are happy to provide suggestions for things to do and places to see. The hotel also offers a great buffet breakfast. In a city as expensive as Lucerne, this hotel is a great value option.
Hotel des Alpes

With a stunning location right on the edge of the River Reuss overlooking the historic Chapel Bridge and out towards the Alps, Hotel des Alpes is one of the best located hotels in Lucerne. Rooms are bright, clean and well maintained and if you can, pay the extra for a room with a balcony facing the spectacular view. What a treat to come back to your room after a long day of sightseeing and take a seat out on the balcony with a glass of local wine. The hotel serves a good breakfast and there is a lovely riverside terrace where you can enjoy a meal, a drink or simply take in the gorgeous view.
Hotel des Balances

In an enviable riverside location right in the heart of the Old Town, Hotel des Balances is a lovely four-star hotel with stunning views and plenty of character. Originally built in 1836, the hotel is one of the prettiest buildings in Lucerne and the beautiful murals on the hotel façade make it one of the most photographed buildings in Lucerne. Inside, the rooms are light, clean and tastefully decorated with beautiful walnut timber flooring and a warm, relaxing colour palate throughout. Staff are friendly and helpful and happy to recommend things to see and do or places to eat. The hotel has an excellent restaurant and its terrace along the river is a beautiful spot to sit.
Seehotel Hermitage Luzern

The Seehotel Hermitage Luzern is a modern, luxury hotel right on the shores of Lake Lucerne. The hotel is located 4km around the lake from the Old Town of Lucerne and it’s a quick 10 minute bus ride from Lucerne Railway Station to the hotel. One of the main benefits of the Hermitage is its stunning location, the only hotel in Lucerne with lake frontage. Every room in the hotel has floor to ceiling windows showcasing the spectacular views of Mount Pilatus and the Alps, Lake Lucerne and a view back towards the Old Town across the lake. Rooms are spacious, modern and comfortably furnished and if you can get one with a balcony, do. The location out of the city is peaceful and there is plenty of space around the hotel to relax, including an onsite spa. There is an excellent, though pricey, restaurant and beautiful bar. It’s all so nice it can be hard to leave the hotel!
Art Deco Hotel Montana

To reach the Art Deco Hotel Montana you must first take the world’s shortest funicular ride up the hill to where the hotel sits overlooking the beautiful Lake Lucerne. Once you have arrived you can’t help but be impressed by the stunning art deco design and fabulous views from this location. The hotel, originally opened in 1910, has kept its art deco charm while being thoroughly modernised over the years. Each room is individually decorated but expect polished hardwood floors, timber furniture, geometric designs, characterful bathrooms and stunning views. The hotel is home to the outstanding Scale Restaurant as well as the Louis Bar which features live jazz. There is also a luxurious day spa on site. The Art Deco Hotel Montana is an excellent choice for a special occasion. Staying there is an experience you won’t forget in a hurry!
